About The Programme

The LGBT Diversity programme is a coordinated national response by twelve LGBT organisations, developed to build the capacity of the LGBT sector. The Programme will facilitate LGBT organisations and activists to collectively mobilise and engage with the wider community in order to advocate strategically and effectively on gender and sexuality issues.

Who is involved?

Currently there are twelve LGBT organisations (who oversee the Programme), an Independent Chair and five Programme staff. In addition there are a number of other activists, academics and organisations involved in specific programme activities.

Where are the regions?

The LGBT Diversity Programme has secured funding from Atlantic Philanthropies, up until December 2012, to implement a programme of work aimed at building sustainable LGBT communities in the Republic of Ireland. Due to budget restraints and prioritised needs we have developed 3 programmatic regions i.e. the North West, the Midlands and the South East.
